CSD Studio

Lynda Chesser and Bill Schacht are principals of design at their own design firm, CSD Studio. Lynda is a respected interior designer and Bill is a renowned industrial designer. Together they have created furniture for such manufacturers as Herman Miller, Haworth, Hekman, Jofco, Nucraft, and Steelcase. CSD has tackled everything from office chairs and occasional table to casegoods and systems furniture. The firm’s success is evident in the numerous industry awards it’s garnered, including Best of Competition at NeoCon 2003 for Collective Space. CSD products have gained widespread acceptance in the marketplace.

Scott Wilson

Scott Wilson is the founder and principal designer of Chicago-based MINIMAL. A former Global Creative Director at Nike, Wilson has been a design leader in organizations such as IDEO, Thomson Consumer Electronics, Fortune Brands and Motorola. Scott Wilson launched Ooba and his Nest Collection of infant and child furniture. Wilson devised a line of sustainable and timeless pieces of original design wherein juvenile and adult products would exist harmoniously in a shared environment. Equal parts visionary designer and serial entrepreneur, Wilson consistently delivers compelling and thoughtful solutions to market across a wide range of industries.

Tom Edwards

Thomas Edwards is Owner/Principal of Design Allegro, a design consultancy specializing in product development services for the contract furniture industry, with capabilities ranging from overall design strategy formulation to discrete product development. His clients include Teknion, Light Corp, Nucraft, Trandway, United Chair, Haworth, Wieland, Knoll, Harter, Herman Miller, and The Art Institute of Chicago.

zero1, a global furniture design and development firm based in West Michigan, was founded in 2001 by American designer Gardner Klaasen and his partner. Gardner and his team bring over 50 years of combined experience to Zero1 in all phases of industrial design, product development, product management, manufacturing, engineering, and sales. Prior to forming Zero1, Gardner had his own successful industrial design firm.  Gardner and Zero 1 have a proven track record of working with a diverse, international client base ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to privately-owned companies including: JCI, Steelcase, Kimball, Bernhardt, and Turnstone.

Brian Kane is an authority on public furniture design – chairs, lounges, benches, and sofas.  His background is deeply rooted in contract furnishings design. Kane Design Studio has been involved in the design and development of products for Metro, Steelcase, Carnegie, Landscapeforms, Bernhardt Furniture Co., Martin/Brattrud Inc, Falcon, Halcon, Tuohy, HBF, Coalesse, Decca, Nemscoff, Summit, Hon, and Herman Miller. Kane's designs have won over 80 design awards and have been exhibited at the Whitney and Brooklyn Museums in New York and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco.

Tolleson Saul Design Inc.

Tolleson Saul Design led by design duo Greg Saul and Tom Tolleson. Greg and Tom have a long history of working for many prominent furniture industry firms such as Allsteel, Steelcase, Harter, KI and Stylex.  Over the years, their work has received a range of recognition, including the Chicago Athenaeum, Good Design Award and Best of NeoCon Seating Design awards.
