(a.k.a. "The Wizard")
Senior Product Engineer
Russ can conjure up engineering solutions for the toughest of product design challenges. Holding his professional engineering certification (it's a major award), Russ brings with him over 15 years of experience in the furniture industry. Once asked "if you could be a food and why," he answered, "hot sauce because it burns." RIGHT ON WHITAKER ... BURN IT UP MAN!
Michael comes to Leggett with six years of product development experience. This Grand Rapids native likes to spend his days looking at pictures of food and pretending he's in charge. When he's not knee deep in AutoCAD, you can find him watching "Desperate Housewives" and indulging in pickled asparagus.
(a.k.a. "Teen Wolf")
Lead Project Engineer
Having received his undergraduate degree in Divinity at Calvin College, Phil recognized early on that he was a better fit for the dark side ... finishing with a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan. Phil has over 19 years of experience in product development and uses his sense for perfection and rich experience in automotive seating as the standard that all of our customers have come to respect. In high school, Phil suddenly turned into a werewolf in the middle of a basketball game and subsequently led his team to the state championship.
Director of Design
Greg has a degree in design from Kendall College of Art and Design. As a designer, he’s been creating and developing modern furniture of both his own composition and those of others for more than 15 years. When he's not making the world more beautiful, you can find him teaching quilting, doing yoga, and growing prize tomatoes with his 2 children and pet chinchilla.
Director of Development & Launch/Bib Shorts Enthusiast
Dean, a native Grand Rapidian, is rooted with a deep background in office furniture and hand modeling. This unique combination brings a balanced approach to projects that few in his field possess. When his energy isn't being applied to work, Dean can be found practicing contortionism and imbibing copious amounts of coffee ... simultaneously.
Manager, Product Marketing & Communications
Erinn brings extensive industry knowledge and marketing leadership to Leggett from past work experience with furniture giants like Haworth and Steelcase. Her skills, however, extend far beyond marketing and communications. This fitness-loving mother of three rambunctious boys is a walking encyclopedia about exercise and nutrition. Too bad she needs that encyclopedia to stand on when reaching for the gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, caffeine-free protein energy bars from the cupboard.
Sir Sock Monkey
The Team Mascot
An executive coach and acclaimed author of "Baby Monkeys and Pigs Don’t Mix," Sir Sock Monkey is skilled in helping organizations define their market strategy and play to win. Prior to joining the Work Furniture Group, Monkey enjoyed success as an executive at Chiquita Brands International and Paul Frank Industries. Sir Sock Monkey spends most of his spare time attending to children, which earned him knighthood status in 2003 for his philanthropic work with "No Child Left Behind Barefoot."
International Business Development Manager
To be completely honest ... we're not really sure what Klaus does – however, there are suspicions that he manages the development of business relationships... internationally.
German by heritage and residency, Klaus's guilty pleasure consists of driving around the mountains in his Kia Soul while snacking on bangers and mash and listening to Justin Bieber on the radio.
Martina De Dona
International Project Development Assistant/Horse Whisperer
Working internationally for Leggett since 2006, Martina is a jack of all trades – having broad expertise ranging from foreign languages to logistics and transportation. She follows the mantra, "Punctuation is the secret to life." Martina is also a serial TV addict who loves cooking, dogs, and horses.
International Design & Development Director
Marco has become a fixture on the Leggett walls, ballyhooing over 17 years of experience in engineering and European operations. He prides himself on his iron stomach, winning the World's Pig Feet Eating Championship every summer at the New Jersey State Fair. We hear they taste like chicken...
International Manager of Technical Services/Gladiator
Alessandro was born somewhere, and then grew up. He went to a prestigious college where he learned about important things such as; Thermodynamics, The Modulus of Elasticity, and student loans. After living in different cities and working for different people, he ended up where he is now... managing stuff. Ale hopes to continue managing stuff for a while.
